« on: June 08, 2014, 12:38:29 am »

Herbal stimulants are herbs that increase energy levels & awareness.  Most of these herbs work in vastly different ways and near all of them are synergistic.

Betel Nut (Areca catechu)
Bitter Orange Peel (Citrus aurantium)
Cacao (Theobroma cacao)
Catuaba (Erythroxylum catuaba)
Guarana (Paullinia cupana)
Guayusa (Ilex guayusa)
Kola nut (Cola acuminata)
Mucuna (Mucuna pruriens)
Muira puama (Ptychopetalum olacoides)
Asian Ginseng [Ren shen] (Panax Ginseng)
Golden root (Rhodiola rosea)
Bala (Sida Cordifolia)
Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis)
Yohimbe (Pausinystalia yohimbe)

Please feel free to add to this list~

The established lordship of the Cross & Crescent is as steady as a rock.  But...  There is stone-breaking saxifrage, the flower that splits the rock, the rock that splits the human race.  Its roots, so wee and weak and yet so strong, crack the crevices of the exclusive creeds...

Can anyone tell me anything about yohimbe?i understand it is supposed to be very stimulating in a high dose, but is supposed to be energizing in a smaller dose? i dont have any experience whith this herb.
And also when i have tried taking panax ginseng i did not notice much effect on stress releif or energy levels, Do you have to take this multiple days or should you notice the effects the same day you start taking it? I may have just gotten poor quality ginseng. Anyone have experience with this herb?

I personally love Yohimbe.  I have been adding 1/4-1/2 tsp to my coffee for months now with little side-effects.  It definitely has stimulation and mood enhancing capabilities!  You can even mix in some other adaptogens, such as Cordyceps (My favorite anti-fatigue herb) or Bala (contains Pseudoephedrine) to give it more of a kick without having to take too much Yohimbe.  My current coffee recipe that I am pretty happy with right now is:

3 Tbsp Coffee
1/4 tsp Yohimbe
1/2-1 tsp Cordiceps
1/4-1/2 tsp Bala AKA Sida Cordifolia
1 tsp Holy Basil (for anti-cortisal/irritation)
1 tsp Celestrus (Nootropic effects)
